As part of our ongoing effort to achieve the goals we set as an eTwinning School , we participated in the 2nd Educational Conference of the Directorate of Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki, which took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Cultural Center of Ampelokipi and the Auditorium of the 12th Primary School of Ampelokipi. The central theme of the conference was: "Teaching and Learning – Education and Sustainable Development Goals: Challenges and Reflections," and it provided an important opportunity for professional development, dialogue, and the exchange of pedagogical practices. During the conference, we presented our eTwinning project titled “Dream City – Smart and Sustainable,” which aimed to develop students' skills related to the concept of smart and sustainable cities, promoting creativity, collaboration, and environmental awareness. At the same time, we had the opportunity to attend interesting presentations, exchange experiences and reflections, and enrich our pedagogical approaches with new ideas and best practices.
Our eTwinning project “Dream City, Smart and Sustainable” has been awarded the National Quality Label.
The National Quality Label is a national distinction and recognition for teachers, students, and schools participating in eTwinning collaborative projects. It rewards the high level of quality, innovation, and teamwork demonstrated by the participants. Our project was implemented during the 2024–2025 school year with the 6th grade pupils.
Congratulations to our pupils for their collaboration, imagination and creativity!
Our school has been awarded the eTwinning School Label for 2025-2026 as a recognition for our dedication and commitment to promote eTwinning and its values, which are represented by the eTwinning School's mission.

This month we visited an art exhibition and associated the visit to our project. Pupils learned about the electrification of Moscow, an important technological achievement for urban development in the early 20th century and saw Andreeva's artwork which highlights the connection between art and urban growth. All the other activities were dedicated to online safety. On the 11th of February we celebrated Safer Internet Day and collaborated with our partners on various tasks in order to promote online safety and netiquette. 😃

Smart and sustainable cities
Our school participated in the 9th Recycling Festival in Thessaloniki, an annual event that aims at raising awareness about recycling and proper waste management among students and the community. Our exhibition, titled "Sustainable Art – Sustainable City," was inspired by our eTwinning project, "Dream City."
Pupils explored the concept of innovative and eco-friendly cities through a variety of resources such as texts, games and videos and gained a deeper understanding of how technology and sustainability shape the cities of the future.
They found solutions to the sustainability challenges our cities face today.
They teamed up with their partners in transnational groups in order to design our smart and sustainable Dream City. Our transnational team focused on the theme of entertainment.
The final products of pupils were a city catalogue and a website promoting their Dream city, as well as a brochure with guidelines for the city's residents.
As our Dream City project drew to a close, a series of evaluation activities were carried out, including questionnaires for teachers and students. At the same time, learners were given the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings about the project. Finally, the project and its outcomes were shared with the wider school community.

eTwinning Presentation Event
On June 13, 2025, our school successfully hosted a presentation event for the our "Dream City" project. The sixth-grade pupils proudly presented the project's activities and final outcomes to their parents, demonstrating their awareness and commitment to a sustainable and "smart" future.
We sincerely thank the parents and guardians for their presence and enthusiastic support during the event.
Congratulations to our students for their dedication, teamwork, and creativity throughout this project!
We created a calendar for endangered species collaboratively with our partners. Each partner country was responsible for three months of the calendar. Pupils found information about endangered animals, wrote slogans and made drawings all of which were included in our calendar.
We collaborated with our partners from the other countries in order to write and illustrate environmental stories about air pollution, sea pollution and deforestation.
We have been awarded the eTwinning National Quality Label for our project!
